Region 8 Affiliated Fair Fund
- Expanding opportunities for all students, most particularly those students who are underserved or underrepresented in STEM based on race, ethnicity or household income. This could include programming such as school outreach, college/university or community partnerships and/or educator professional development.
- Implementing infrastructure updates to improve administration of your fair and metrics gathering (registration, judging or SRC judging systems, staffing support, etc.)
- Support of delegation travel costs to attend your fair within your region and/or of your ISEF delegation to Columbus, Ohio. (This should not be more than 50% of the proposal; affiliation and registration fees are not eligible expenses.)
The maximum amount any grantee will be awarded is $5,000.
These funds may support middle-school/junior divisions as well as the high school division of your affiliated fair. The funds may not be used for any awards at your fair or affiliation or registration fees paid to the Society for Science.
Fairs selected to receive a grant through this program will be required to submit a brief report to the Society for Science by December 1, 2025 explaining how the funds were spent and a short narrative summary of the project’s successes, impacts and lessons learned.
